Sev puri is an Indian snack and a type of chaat. It is a speciality that originates from Mumbai. In Mumbai, sev puri is served by street vendors as well as five star hotels. Recently, supermarkets have started stocking ready-to-eat packets of sev puri and similar snacks like bhelpuri.
Preparation
Although there is no fixed recipe for sev puri, the basic ingredients used widely are the same. Sev puri is essentially made of puri which is loaded with diced potatoes, onions, three types of chutneys: tamarind, chili and garlic and topped with sev. It is seasoned with raw mango, when raw mango is in season or with a hint of lemon and chaat masala.

Flat crispy puri-15
Sev-1cup
Onion-1(chopped)
Tomato-1(chopped)
Coriander leaves-chopped
Cooked chopped potato-1/4 cup
Cooked green peas-3tbsp
Chat masala-2tbsp
Sweet chutney-2tbsp
Green chutney-2tbsp
Method
Arrange the crispy puries on a serving plate.
Place a little mix of chopped potato and green peas over it.
Add about 1/4 tsp of sweet chutney and green chutney.
Now add chopped onion,tomato, coriander leaves and chat masala.
Sprinkle the sev generously all over the puries.
Garnish it with finely chopped coriander leaves and serve immediately.
